I never watched the movie and decided to yesterday before the series started and IMMEDIATELY thought to myself that Rorschach felt kinda racist. Making him the patron saint of today’s white supremacist was an obvious layup.

That opening scene was hard to watch. I don't remember ever learning about that incident so it's kinda strange being introduced to it through this show. Fantastic first episode, gotta watch it again to give a better review but I liked it a lot.

It was effective having a racist undercover white supremacist bumpin Future that's straight outta their playbook.. but yeah 'Mask Off' would have been great given the history behind the song. Guess they wanted something more 2019 because this show takes place in an alternate 2019, they said it's Sept. 2019 right now

The intricacies of damn near every shot in that pilot were crazy, especially if you're a fan of The Watchmen. Just a tremendous amount of world building without overt exposition. They had me hanging on every single word and analyzing the background and foreground of every scene.. When old dude who asked Night if she thought he could lift 200lbs is in the final scene
If this is as piff as it's looking like it will be, nikkas finna have no choice but to put respeck on Damon Lindelof's name

Not the actual character, but someone we get flashbacks too all season trying to figure out the cause of his death.
