Just realized something else...

You know how Bass Reeves was the inspiration for The Lone Ranger. Yet, Hollywood used a white guy.

Its the same thing going on. White guy playing the tv version, but the real hero was black

Yo thats crazy cause i see mad punisher logos with the blue line in it on a bunch of off duty cops cars. They blatantly flaunting their whiteness now ?

Yes that's exactly what it is. Where I live I'll see some Jeeps with the logo on there, I've read into it and in most cases it ain't just "oh they like the comic" it's a symbol for them now.

I wouldn't be surprised if the writers are making that connection because like him or not Lindelof don't play when it come to attention to detail
