On a side note, I'm glad that Sabrina had a great game against Indiana and even outscored Caitlin with 34 points. I hope she continues to have a great season.

Sab was kind of the Caitlin Clark a few years before Caitlin. There was hype building around her in 2019 going into 2020. She was a Kobe protégé, a white female college basketball player breaking records, an electric 3-point shooter with a deep range.

Unfortunately, soon after, Kobe dies, and then COVID shuts down the world. All of that diminished the hype around her. Sabrina never got to play for a college championship at Oregon. Then, her first season in the WNBA was in the bubble, and she got injured after 3 games and missed the rest of the season.

I'll always be rooting for Sab. She's our franchise player. Yes, Stewie and Jonquel are more valuable, but Sabrina is a Liberty draft pick and still a key player.

her net rating was horrible with CT last year too, what was Curt Miller thinking? and then trading for Nalyssa too so you could bag Carrington, for what?

I don't see her as a starter.

Most of her shots are inside 15 feet and she still shoots like shyt, not too mention a 3-ball that no one really respects.

High energy defense off the bench? Oh most definitely, but a starter? I'm not seeing it.

You can't get away with the Tony Allen/Andre Roberson in 2025. :hubie:

Damn man, for somoene who is all over Angel Reese you are out of the loop on this.

A "Mebound" is a term that was coined for her rebounding her own misses. shyt been everywhere for the past couple weeks, to the point where Reese has not only addressed it but is trying to take ownership of the word by copyright/trademarking it. In one game she got 5 mebounds in a single possession because she kept bricking the layup or getting blocked but then grabbing the rebound.

STOP USING CAC TALKING POINTS.

EVEN WHEN REMOVING
ALL THE "MEBOUNDS" SHE
STILL WOULD HAVE LEAD THE WNBA
IN REBOUNDS LAST SEASON

There really is no reason to ever watch ESPN outside of catching a live sporting event. The channel and it's "news"/commentary has been some agenda driven, weird, negative, clickbaity trash for a while now. I stopped watching their non live sports content years ago.

This goes beyond how they cover Angel Reese (although I agree with all of what ya'll are highlighting).

You think the same number of people will engage with a show if they are talking about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in comparison to the Dallas Cowboys?

:gucci:

Breh, you know why "Mebounds" hasnt been a thing until now?

Because if an NBA player was as bad at layups as Angel Reese they wouldnt get the chance to earn that "mebound" moniker because they wouldnt get the damn ball. :heh:
You think when Tampa Bay was winning back when Tom Brady signed to them that people tuned out because they’re Tampa Bay? Meanwhile, people are supposed to care about a Cooper Rush led Cowboys team (after Dak got hurt) that was going nowhere?

Also, it’s not that she’s simply blowing layups. She has, but a bunch of players have done it. Even the game when Caitlin Clark had 32 she blew a layup. Her teammate Kelsey Mitchell blew a layup in that same game. Angel’s misses come from trying to put the ball up over a crowded defense or getting her shot blocked.
