On a side note, I'm glad that Sabrina had a great game against Indiana and even outscored Caitlin with 34 points. I hope she continues to have a great season.
Sab was kind of the Caitlin Clark a few years before Caitlin. There was hype building around her in 2019 going into 2020. She was a Kobe protégé, a white female college basketball player breaking records, an electric 3-point shooter with a deep range.
Unfortunately, soon after, Kobe dies, and then COVID shuts down the world. All of that diminished the hype around her. Sabrina never got to play for a college championship at Oregon. Then, her first season in the WNBA was in the bubble, and she got injured after 3 games and missed the rest of the season.
I'll always be rooting for Sab. She's our franchise player. Yes, Stewie and Jonquel are more valuable, but Sabrina is a Liberty draft pick and still a key player.
