I was watching UConn earlier in the year and Geno had Azzi out there up 30 with less than 4 minutes to go

I feel like they all do it but I don't know why you'd expose players to injury in garbage time. It's more egregious when it's a player who's declaring for the draft. Miles should not have been out there.
