She went from getting abused and stalked to traded to Chicago. Been a rough few months for her

I don't understand why LA would trade an ascending player on a rookie deal for a stagnant at best or declining one. There has to be better trade options if they're that set on moving Rickea.

Chicago passed on Rickea to take Cardoso just to trade Angel and trade for Rickea. Taking two bigs never made sense and Rickea/Angel should've been the play from jump.

ariel is only 29 and I guess they are trying to win now. On paper it makes sense why rickea would be moved with them locking in on plum. Rickea right now is just a scorer but shes about to have a bad time in chicago if they dont get someone to be the first option forreal.

Chicago said the same thing. Yes the Sparks have a better team but Ariel is not a win now piece. She's okay but older and more expensive.

Their coach wants them chucking 3's and not mid range shots but that's not a good reason for a trade. This feels like a coach who doesn't like a particular player so moves them despite not upgrading.
