Does she fit Dallas or no???

Idc about them being a cpl, I want Paige to have a better cast around her

I told a national media figure a week ago that discounting Azzi as the #1 pick was foolish bc we needed to see what Dallas did in free agency first...now we see, and it all points to Azzi being the #1 pick

Azzi was gonna fall no lower than 4th regardless...but now Dallas doesn't need Fam

Even if Dallas doesn't select her tomor, she still would've ended up in Minny, Seattle or Wash

All those situations would've been good for her

Who cares who goes #1 as long as players get to go teams where they have an opportunity to excel

I want Fam to do well in Minny & I want Liv to do well in Seattle
The question is she good enough to be #1. She's not in this draft. If this was 2021, I would run to the podium to take her 1st overall, but this class, man, that's a tough sell. Azzi just doesn't have the upside. That's the issue.

Think about it, you got prospect versions of Jason Kidd, Dwayne Wade, and Joel Embiid, and you take Klay Thompson??? I love Paige, a tier 1 prospect, special elite, and world-class player, but drafting her girlfriend at #1 just isn't smart.

Fit or not. Just not a smart move in a draft this strong with quality 1st rounders.

LA moved off of Rickea because she lives in the midrange? If they were gonna move off one of their young players I would have deaded Brink but I don't think Roberts and Rickea rocked with each other

SLOOT TESTED THE WATERS
AND NOBODY WANTED HER OLD ASS

Nobody wanted her last year either other than Jeff in which he wanted to “feature” her instead of building around Angel. Now he built a potential playoff team right after trading Angel away and Sloot is falling in line as a bench player/vet presence. This ain’t coincidence :manny:

Edit: It’ll be even more evident if y’all draft Flau’jae. Angel and Flau had that rift at LSU

Liv does not defend well enough to be compared to J. Kidd

She could be Andre Miller for all we know

And I'm not taking a big first overall who can't block shots if they are to play the 5 (Fam)

At least with Azzi you can picture Klay with a better handle...she could easily have the impact of a Sonia her rookie yr, and in this draft class that's worthy of being the top pick

Azzi has the highest floor bc she'll be a 12-year pro and has the potential to be Ray Allen-esque bc of the handle

She doesn't defend well as Kidd, but she's elite offensively, and saying she could be Andre Miller is simply foolish as her movement and change of pace are excellent for a female PG. She shoots much better than any pre 28 year old verison of Kidd.

Fam will block shots in a WNBA style of play. He does a lot of verticality. In the W, they will want her to go for blocks as well as do the verticality. Different league.

Sonia is a much more all-around offensive player than Azzi. Azzi just has that world-class skill set with her movement and shooting, which rivals the best of all men. We only had one player to make the all-star team with a FTr below .100. That was Betty Lennox in the inaugural year of the Lynx. It's going to be hard to make the All-Star team when all you do is shoot. You are knocking Olivia's defense when Azzi's defense has many of the same issues. Both are mainly team defenders.

He doesn't have anywhere near the upside on the ball to be anywhere near Allen. Allen FTr is .247, which is lower than Sonia's but miles better than Azzi, whose rate is .098 over her career.

Azzi is a clear projection. Elite world-class movement shooter who can pass as a connector and does have some on-ball juice attacking closeouts, but overall, she's not really the type that makes all-stars in the W. Maybe she gets voted in as she is popular, but she's not your typical

I don't think she has the highest floor; that's Olivia. I think he was the best college player, but the WNBA isn't college basketball.

Azzi has a world-class skill like Angel and rebounding. I won't put extreme boundaries on her, but I just don't see it when it comes to legit 1st overall, in particular with this draft.

Azzi is light years better than Liv as an on ball defender

Ppl don't take the UConn system into account...no one in the program averages 25 bc that's not how they're coached to win

If Azzi played for FSU and had a green light, you don't think she avgs 25 like Latson did

Azzi doesn't need the ball to put fear in you

And what no one takes into account is that G play in the W is trash...that's why Paige came in as a natural SG & was far & away the best PG her rookie yr

Azzi will need that pump fake, 1-2 dribble pull up to make teams pay for pushing on the 3-pt line...she'll need to keep improving her handle...she'll need to iso a tad more...but I'm not counting out continued growth & development from her
