I was checking the stats from her days at Maryland, and her teammate, Diamond Miller, was the #2 pick after Aliyah Boston last year. She played with Angel her sophomore and junior year (Angel’s freshman and sophomore seasons). By that second season together, Angel was the leading scorer and rebounder on that team. Angel transferred and Diamond had a bounce back season and became the #2 pick. Angel obviously won the championship and was MOP and 1st team All American. Still crazy that Angel slipped all the way to #7 but I was glad she did on draft night.
