she hasnt really been struggling since july though. Her shot wasnt falling as much without rest but that was on good and bad defenses. I know some of yall got your issues with her but copper guarded clark the majority of the game so its not like they didnt have a good defender on her.

and she got space because Griner didn't hedge the screens or help. Add in that we had to cover for Cunningham and Harrigan getting backdoored to death. This team is defensively is terrible. Offense isn't a problem. We have some good nights, but if you put us in the pick'n'roll, or attack Taurasi and Cunningham, we're fukked. Tauarsi is so slow at this point in her career on defense, she struggles to even catch up to a player to foul them. It's sad. It's like Ginobili getting those legacy checks from the Spurs because Popovich didn't want to make him retire.

Saying she's on Clark's level right now is setting her up to all the immediate criticism.

Saying her potential is better is another story, because she has a really high ceiling (as does Clark) but she has to work really hard to get there because a lot of her fundamentals are simply not good. It's more realistic to think Clark will reach her ceiling.

People are mistaking their floors for their ceilings.
