Betts won’t offer much improvement. She’s too slow. And you can easily deny her the ball on the post. She gets by in college because she towers over most of her completion.
I would draft the Spainsh kid over her as well. The W is way more athletic than NCAA for bigs

Only thing she needs to add to her game is that Mamba Mentality. She should've shot 25-30 times and went for 50. Her teammates should've known the situation and been trying to get her the record and that's the only way they would've won. When your star is that hot you give it to them and get out the way every time.
I don't know whether they should take Azzi or Betts if they get the first pick. That front court is abysmal but they need another scorer to get those double teams off P5. It all depends on who they can sign in free agency. Arike can not come back though. The GM gotta go too if he's thinking about keeping the coach.

She should only be their pick if they're on the low end of the lottery.
Can't take a Euro to run with Paige. If she's not coming over immediately or taking time off to play Euro Basket that doesn't work. She's only 19 so if she needs a few years to develop and the team isn't good you risk losing P5. Dallas needs to turn things around immediately.
This is a guard heavy draft so you pass on Betts there's no more impact bigs. I don't think 2027 has many bigs either. That 7'4" girl from China is 10x slower than what you think Betts is.
Betts will give you shot blocking, rebounding, passing, and post scoring. I think that more than makes up for her lack of speed on defense. I think she'd be a better fit on the Lynx because she doesn't have to carry a scoring load and they cover all her weaknesses. I'm hoping it's Minny with the first pick and Dallas at two so they have to take Azzi.

The problem with this is that a big reason why Dallas has been so bad the last couple years is because they haven't had any good defensive bigs besides Howard.

If I was the Dallas GM Betts would be my pick but the UCONN fan in me just wants to see Paige and Azzi reunited.
It all depends on the draft order though.
Dallas needs a better coach before anything. They had a team experts had middle of the pack at the start of the year and players completely gave up on him a few games in. The players they traded are even contributing with much better coaches.
