Allegedly they didn't want any rookies other than Jaquez so all the dumb moves they made was because Chicago reached.

I still don't see why they didn't just keep Flau. People saying they don't need her because they have too many guards. Cut Kate Martin then. Her ceiling isn't reaching Flau'jae's floor.

Even if Flau starts the season hot and Jocyte comes over and looks good you now have the option to trade one.

GSV has made some strange moves this off-season. I wouldn't be surprised if they fall off from last year.
GSV had no intentions of drafting Flau. They did pre draft trade with Seattle and was going to pick whoever Seattle wanted at 8. The word is that Natalie said that she could never be a college coach because she can only deal with pro ready players. Don't expect to see GSV to ever have roster of young gun American players as long as she is the coach.

Flau'jae more pro ready than Jaquez who they wanted.

If they wanted out of the draft then they should have traded their picks in advance for future assets or players. I know Nakase doesn't like rookies but that strategy isn't going to work long term.

The positive spin on Flau'jae is interesting

She didn't have a good senior season, but everyone knew what she is

Jaquez is a plug & play for a contender, up & coming team or bottom feeder

Could Flaujae go to a contender right now and be a star, I don't think so...I think Seattle is just so desperate for G play, she landed in a good situation

And as for GSV, they took players that no one wanted and made a formidable team...I'd be scared to see when they actually get really good players to fit into that system

Flau'jae's game translates better to the pros than what LSU was doing with her. She became underrated and Jaquez overrated. She's more of a hustle, energy off the bench player who needs to develop offensively.

Nakase thinks she's still with Aces. She's going to have to develop rookies. You're not just going to get ready made players and vets. We'll see if she's flexible or just wants pieces that fit neatly into her system.

Flau'jae was always going to be an elite W player as he type translates at a 100% rate.

Jaquez should translate as well but she was always going to need her shot to come along at some point which I believe it will.
