I watched like 80 to 85% of the NYL vs Conn game last night...a few observations:
Stewie looks to be all the way back...the only ingredient missing is she can't consistently make her triples...she played point forward, active defensively, scored at will...it will be interesting to see if she establishes herself at the top of the pecking order, offenively...the prob w/ Stewie like most Uconn players is that sometimes they are too unselfish...no one in the league can check her, so she can't limit her scoring prowess
NY's bench should be legit if they get consistency from the backup pg position
NY looked damn good on both sides of the ball to be missing Sab, Fiebich & Satou
CT looks to be the worst team in the league and that's ok...play all the young players, get them experience and try to be more competitive as the season progresses
CT giving BG a milli was a waste of salary, she can't perform at close to an all star level anymore....why not just rock w/ Ododa, AE & Morrow when this team is clearly not contending for a playoff spot?
Diamond Miller should avg 12+ if she consistently gets mins...I still see the potential in her game...she's a 6'3 SF who is solid in a lot of areas but she just can't always put it altogether and her ego is huge, which impacts her play...saw her chirping with BHL last night and everytime I see her play she's always chirping with an opposing player lol

Only way they can keep her is if they waive someone (like maybe Rebekah Gardner). Sucks that we can't keep Vanloo. She'd be a great backup PG.
