It’s just hard to judge these rookies off game 1. They go from playing college basketball, to the draft, to the wnba season in a month. Some might start hot some start cold. The season is off to a good start imoPpl used to say AI was better than Kob earlier on too
And growing up in Philly, that was a legit argument for 4-5 yrs
It's a marathon not a sprint...and OM defense leaves a lot to be desired...Canada drove by her at will and even Pao Pao hit the GW shot on her
...but the highlights
Kelsey Plum had 4 pts, 5 TOs off the bench in her debut as a reference
Narrative will change all season, even the next Cpl yrs
First OM, then Flau'jae, then Betts, then Fam...I'll revisit just to laugh at the changing narrative
I don't know about these new freedom of movement rules. Jonquel just picked up the most BS offensive fouls that fouled her out of the game.
EDIT: As I say that Stewie gets away with a screen which definitely looked more like a moving screen than Jonquel's.

idk how both fans & the leagues see how people HATE how the NBA is officiated with all the ticky tacky calls and stoppages......and said yea THAT'S what we need in the W.
Inflated scoring and weakened defense seems like a false way to capture more fans.
The core of NBA & NFL fans and memories were made before these inflated #s we're seeing now.
There was a period where nikkas really had to earn theirs and the lore of "jack'd up", 'the Jordan rules", etc was born.
I gotta believe a cat like Sean Taylor is always gonna be more beloved than the type of defenders we got today.

Sparks really need to find offense that isn't Plum shooting threes. Hamby and Nneka have the tendency to go missing at times during games.

I’m not sure if either team could use a fouling bum
I guess she could be good depth for GS but you think Minny could use her? She has no real skillset. She can’t play defense without fouling and her offense is nonexistent.
She’s otw out of the league at this rate and rightfully so
