That in itself would have kept me from being as forgiving. You cheated on me and then you mad at me cause I don't want to be with you anymore?

You are a strong brotha and I salute you. I hope to attain your level of forgiveness and strength one day.
Trust me it wasn’t easy at all. But I gotta deal with this woman for lord knows how many more years. Gotta make the best of it

Sometimes doing all that homework don’t even mean anything. Me and her and been together over a decade. I know her like the back of my hand so once she started cheating and some of her behaviors started changing I knew what the deal was

This thread was suggested at the bottom of the Iman Shumpert thread, and this was made 10 years ago, whow.
The original poster said he was 34 and she was 33 when this thread was made so that means they’re both into thier 40’s now. @BmoreGorilla what do both of your lives look like now? have you remarried or has she remarried or had more kids?
I didn’t read through the whole thread but you said she ruined her life, was that hyperbole or did her relationships/networks actually suffer? I’ve noticed that failed relationships are usually flipped to be the man’s fault so the other party can explain away and avoid any negative stigma to all thier family and friends, but it doesn’t sound like that would be the case here and ladies usually don’t take that very well. :smh:
I’m sure there were times you were upset and wanted to do something rash but there are many men in jail behind doing something bad behind a poorly behaving partner, and you’re not one of them, so that’s good.

If your 10-year in the future self could talk to yourself in the past having to cope with your wife stepping out and being dishonest to you, what would you say?

Got damn :wow:

So much has happened since this thread. Divorce took damn near two years to finalize but I got the house and joint custody of our daughter which is all I wanted. Me and my ex wife are actually pretty cool these days. She fell on some hard times when we split but got her shyt together and is doing well for herself. I’m doing good in my career with the state of Maryland. I’m cool with the dude she’s been seeing for the past year and a half and she’s cool with my lady who I’ve been with since late 2018 but I met when I actually was going thru the divorce. Life has been good

Honestly I think I handled it well looking back. I was close to crashing out and so were some of the people close to me but luckily I got a strong support system. Therapy also helped a lot

Yes time flies. I was 34 when that happened. I’ll be 44 this July with a few extra pounds and a few extra grays
