This is a answer that a idiot would say. bruh ALREADY as a bachelor degree; He's clearly not stupid. Why would you even say this without the attention to clown someone who's trying to better themselves by joining the military?
He's most likely only living around vets that got kicked out for doing dumb shyt. The military is just like the civilian world...There's pure idiots and incredibly talented people. Eventually the idiots find their way out of it and the smarter ones move up or move on to better civilian jobs.

Yeah.. You can.. My cousin is a W.O in the Army..

Its even more competitive from what I hear..
But best of luck to you

Only good think about being your age and coming into the service is that you're going to be around a lot of young p*ssy that you will easily have the advantage over bc all of the other e-1 -E-4 are going to too young and dumb... Keep us updated on all the hoes you smashing :smugbiden:
Yeah

Surprisingly, Army do got a lot of nice looking chicks. Not as much as Navy/AF but definitely some to skeet up off and dip. More black chicks too.

shyt, half these model chicks did Army/Army reserve and skated off because they had p*ssy. My brother told me Army hoes even be charging in Afghan...

No different than the ship life though.

Yup, I went USAF and don't regret it at all. The Army power generator technicians used to borrow our gens in Baghdad and ,more often than not bring it back with scored pistons, bent push rods and shyt :deadmanny: like that. Used to piss me the fukk off having to hold Army cats' hands on technical issues when we had our own shyt to maintain. I respect all branches though.

Fam who went to Meps, You fukking up not taking advantage your degree. You basically accepted less pay, less automomy and becoming a second class citizen throughout your enlistment. You're going to be kicking yourself in the ass when you figure that out bro:sitdown:

Regardless, fukk that Furious styles bullshyt fam, congrats on doing what you need to do to get what you need to survive. :salute:

I'm living comfortably based off of taking that first step towards getting out of the streets at 19. :ahh:
Yup

I was actually at 2 different joint bases and bruh... It made me regret not being in the AF everyday

Even in the Navy, I was like "wtf" at how chill and smart the AF was compared to us.

Definitely the best branch to go to no matter what. Only thing was that you guys rank up slow af... But it wouldnt even matter because your quality of life is the same up or down the chain.

Your admin stay on point, dont have to beg for additional job training, don't tolerate doing dumb shyt for no reason, etc. Just the least petty branch.

My first duty station I was under an Airforce CO and most my COC was AF. Changed my entire perspective on being in the military. Eventually i got a Navy CO and an Army (eventually Navy) COC... I was disgusted with the command ever since.

Army wasnt that bad though, they were just stupid when it came to doing the work. But when it came to defending their troops and telling people to fukk off, AF and Army was the GOAT branches.

The AF is probably the slowest in rank progression. I heard the USCG is snail pace too. Took 3 years to get E-4 because I started out bare sleeve, but I had a line number for Staff when I got out after 5. I extended my enlistment and volunteered for Iraq because a couple of my AEF boys was being sent back is why I ended up doing 5.

nikkas confuse the shyt out of me. Bro is trying to better himself and nikkas in here talking that white man's Army shyt.

I heard the same shyt when I joined. nikkas was clowning me and shyt, but they couldn't see the vision. Most of them nikkas are still doing the same shyt they were before I left if they aren't dead. Get in and get that tuition assistance, GI Bill, honorable discharge, and come on home on the ball Fam.
Yeah, I'm really not understanding this "white man's army" nonsense. I wouldn't be going into the military if I didn't feel that it was an overall good deal. And it is a very good deal, especially for a guy like me who really has nothing else going on in life.

Anybody know the type of salary I'm looking at if I enlist with the Navy. I have Bachelor's and was looking to become an officer
Try to go officer first.

I think O-1 pay is close to the same as E4 just starting but you will get cola, incentives, etc., and ranking up is almost guaranteed.

That pay jump as you rank up and put in time is :wow:

But honestly, you should be looking at setting yourself up outside the military. Whether its retiring, getting the certs/college/education/experience, disability, etc. and adding on to a job outside of the military

Your recruiter ate good off you pleighboi

You old n*ggas are revealing yourselves in this thread.

It's not 2001 anymore. OCS is extremely competitive and they favor STEM degrees and high GPAs. My cousin a has liberal arts degree 2.9 and he was denied.

I went to MEPs (military processing) today. Went through some nonsense but still made it through and signed the contract. My mos (job) is 15T- Blackhawk helicopter mechanic. I come in as an E4 because of my college degree, and I ship out in precisely one month.
You have a Bachelors degree right? Seriously fam you are doing yourself a HUGE disservice by not trying to become an officer. You didn't go to school for 4 years for nothing. Make that degree work for you now!

A lot of dudes trying to be officers have liberal art degrees and mediocre GPAs. They will take 2.0-2.5 STEM degree before they will a 2.5- 3.0 liberal arts degrees.
