News back in the day was severely biaed and full of opinion, masquarading as being objective. It was its biasness that led to the rise of Fox and right wing talk radio.

but this is pretty much how all the news looked to me back in the day - she's just reporting facts, not saying
"we wonder what would've happened if (insert president here) had done (insert some political shyt from last week here) "
"joining us to discuss this(cut to 5 talking heads all of them hate each other and are about to shout divisive political nonsense for 5 minutes)"

Kronkite had a very left leaning bias and I say that even agreeing with some of his stances like being anti-war.
Anytime some claims there was ever a time where the news wasn't biased tell them they are full of shyt.
US media been lying and making excuses for US government for the majority of its existance, look at the lying the media did to get the US into the Spanish American war.
CNN doesn't even air "news" anymore. They just have people arguing on either side about headlines. You don't get any information and whoever's the best debater wins. Facts be damned; who cares if you get proven wrong 15 minutes later. They don't even have real experts on anymore. Half of them are on for being pretty.
