I did not know either. Maybe I would have watched the cartoon if I had known? Then again I was a 17 when it came out it seems, so I was focused on other things.I didn't know that

For me, it is simple. I was never interested in the cartoon, so I never looked it up. Not looking it up means, I never had a chance to know who the voice actors were.
So it was a matter of not being in the range of my interests.
It dawned on me after Fresh Prince of Bel Air came out. Uncle Phil's voice sounded familiar and I looked it up to confirm.
