I have never watched this show (hardly fukk with network tv), but from the trailer it seems that black women would love it because of seeing a strong, in charge black woman as the main character of a tv show. How often do we as black people get to see that on tv?

With that said, it would be naive to think that the taboo element of a black woman sleeping with her powerful white boss isn't a major draw for some black women.

my homegirl told me she was hyped for the show coming back and I was like and told her she needs to be watching The Bridge or The Americans instead of that Scandal bullshyt.

Those two shows are wayyyyyyy more entertaining and the plausibility of the shyt that they get away with on Scandal is unrealistic. I tried to watch a couple of episode of the first season and the level of access Kerry Washington and her crew has (in fukkin DC no less) is dumb since none of them are cops/FBI/CIA. i dont care how much of the president's balls she's eating, with the fukkery her crew pulls off, they should all be arrested within mins of the start of the show.

I think these chicks deep down wanna be a top bedwench like Kerry's character regardless of how lame it looks.

I disagree. I think of course it was part of the initial draw, but I can't imagine with everything else going on in the show (the assassination attempt , the corruption , the deception , the story arc with the dude from the US Attorney's office , etc...) that people are still tuning in to see these two idiots tell each other (again) that "It's over, I'm done!!!" () or sneak away to bang in a broom closet once every 5 eps.
