since when did the New York giants become the NY Yankees and rely strictly on the homerun/big play? Coughlin's loyalty to Diehl must end now :damn:, he was responsible for at least two sacks today. Im not taking anything away from the steelers. their defense came to play. 1st, i felt Coughlin should have went for it before half time instead of letting Tynes kick. 2nd, seeing Doug Martin hop all over the league makes me cringe, especially when we have Wilson, our 1st round pick riding the pine. This is par for the course for this time of the year giants fans. We need a bye week badly! and as usual giants stadium has the worst noise making crowd :snoop:...rant over

we miss Manningham again he was our designed big play hitter nicks and cruz aren't designed big play hitters it is breakdowns and miss tackles while manningham was our desean jackson he stretched the field and we are seeing it against the good teams.

second shytty ass game in a row gilbride has called. predictable offense is the problem here and they're waiting too long to get gogo big dre the rock. also, eli's security blanket his whole career has been the te and as much as i dont trust him, marty b has all but been abandoned in the gameplanning. especially down on the goal line. how do you have the most talented te you've ever lined up w/ sans shockey and he gets less targets than all the dudes that preceded him? teams arent gameplanning for that dufus. take advantage of him. somebody show gilbride some footage of jason whitten or gonzo. use the dufus!

pass rush was back this week. unfortunately it didnt bring the run defense along w/ it.

i'll save my osi rant for later.

@NV-ME good post. I'm confident this coaching staff will make adjustments, especially after the bye and that remaining schedule that's ahead.

^^^its just a rocky road. our schedule is brutal. i was looking at dallas' remaining schedule and they've got a good chance to come back. philly prolly does too, but those two teams are even harder to gauge than we are from week to week. i had that lackluster feeling yesterday too. had pitt been up i wouldnt have cared as much, but once its the 4th and youre up 10, youve got to finish that team. hopefully we right the ship. niggs been runnin on them frisco fumes for a few weeks now. cough has full justification to be a dikk through the bye week and put these mofos on notice.

We have had 3 straight games where our offense hasn't clicked.

Yes, we faced Dal and Pitt defenses that are among the best, esp against the pass but the playcalling has been predictable as hell and NV is 100% right on using the TE - we dont target him at all.

Where were the back shoulder throws or the slants yesterday??? Its all vertical passes and Cruz over the middle....nothing creative, nothing safe to move the chains. How do we not convert a 3rd down? 3 straight 3 and outs in the 4th? We get turnovers or good field position and settle for 3s far too often. We have terrible plays in the red zone and around the goalline..its disgusting. Can we see more Brown and Wilson get some carries?? Anything to spark the offense..

Our D brought the pass rush but we couldnt stop the run at all...and I wanna root for him but this Herzlich dude aint all that....he gets lost out there in coverage and lost at the line trying to stop the run. He dont make plays out there.

And our Special Teams killed us yesterday...long kickoff and punt returns, missed FG

Pitt deserved the game...they were tougher all day long and esp in the 4th...they brought it and we didnt

Cincanniti is not a gimme game either, we will probably make that law firm look like AP. Need to shore up our rushing defense and take away AJ green.

Our 3rd wideout needs to get the ball Hixon/Randle can make plays, Bennett should see the ball more, hopefully he can hold on.

I am with all, I like Bradshaw heart and determination but he just aint cutting it right now. Mr. I got a ring and Wilson need a lot more touches. Would like to see Wilson catch some screens.

Also JPP needs to dump David Deihl in the ice tub.

I don't know about y'all, but I can't say I'm worried. :yeshrug: Our offense hasn't shown up for a few games, but we have too many weapons for them to not eventually click. Cruz and Nicks aren't at all soft and routinely go up the middle and take shots. Eli develops a connection with his TE's fairly early, which he did this season already with Bennet, they just need to run some plays for him. I don't think Randle has that timing with Eli yet so he can stick to being a dependable punt returner for now. Wilson can be a weapon in the run game but I wouldn't use him until the 4th quarter. Heavy dose of Bradshaw and Brown first three quarters and then bring in your speed back in the 4th to exploit a tired defense. We did this with Bradshaw back when he first started. Our d-line is getting to the QB and we're forcing turnovers. Let's just shore up that run D.

nikka we miss manningham and never replaced him with a speedy WR a mike wallace /desean jackson that is what made our passing game deadly since 2009 check the stats(Manningham stretching the field the slot receiver(Smith/Cruz) doing their thing and Nicks being the #1WR he is).

Yall looking for excuses but that is the truth.

It looks like they just think that Diehl will be the better solution in the long run. We'll see, man. :sadbron:

Funny how we were kinda happy that Blackburn was gonna be out last week & now I'm glad as hell he's back this week. As stiff & slow as he can seem sometimes, he really is needed & provides a spark...plus calls the shots.

Random thought but has anyone else noticed the offense has gotten away from the back shoulder throws? I remember Eli and Hakeem consistently shytting on teams with it and I can't remember a single time they've done it all season
