The Giants held their first post-training camp practice yesterday at their team facility and it was surprising not to see Will Beatty on the field manning the left tackle position. After all, it appeared as if Beatty had left his back problems behind at the University at Albany. After missing practice time and the first preseason game he was able to return to work and said he was feeling better.
That’s not the case any more.
“He’s back on the shelf,’’ coach Tom Coughlin said after practice, not sounding pleased. “He’s back in the training room.’’

Asked when Beatty might return, Coughlin said “I have no idea.’’

All these injuries are ridiculous.

Not scheduled to play tonight for Giants:WR Hakeem Nicks, CB Terrell Thomas, Cb Brandon Bing, CB MIchael Coe LB Jacquian Williams, LB Michael Boley, LT Will Beatty, DT Shaun Rogers, DT Marvin Austin. DT Marcus Thomas, signed on Thursday, is not eligible to play.

Not surprised about Williams being injured this offseason, he put on too much weight too fast.

Jerry better hope Eli makes it through this season.

Will Beatty is annoying & I don't expect anything from him at this point.

The injuries aren't surprising either. You know it's a week to week thing with this team all season long.

There saving Beatty for the the regular season. You cant fukk with back injuries. Eventhough i think he's soft, Beatty can still come through for us. A healthy Beatty means no Diehl at LT. That right side would be nasty with Snee and Diehl. About to sit back and watch the young bulls go all out. I hope Barden steps up. Let's see if our holes at DT are glaring
