First time listening to YEEZUS when it dropped. :wow::blessed:

He got the GOAT album EVER. :birdman:

Hov shyt had me going to sleep after Oceans. Wale, Big Sean, Juicy J, A$ap Ferg, all their albums trash compared to the Gawd Yeezus.

:umad:

I already listen to electronic music like dubstep, and I'm a fan of Death Grip, so this album was easy to understand. It was more about me seeing through the whole "Im trying to be different and innovative, when it really isn't" that took me awhile to get past. The production is clean, the lyrics are cool, and there were a cpl songs that stuck in my head and I'd always go back too, so I do rate the album. It esp stands out when you listen to like 5 drill mixtapes and then Yeezus hops on the playlist outta no where. That's when you appreciate it, the fact that it doesn't sound like everyone else.

I was wondering how people felt about it after some time had passed.

Upon first listen I didnt think it would get much play...but I started playing it again a few weeks ago and its one of my fav joints from this year.

It was garbage when it was released...it's garbage right now...and will most likely be garbage 5 years from now.

But I won't get mad at OP for stating her opinion. :ehh:

I agree but I don't know about using the term "greatness" in any aspect of Kanye as a rapper. His best bars aim and fall significantly short of a ton rapper who are more proficient at that. I always thought Kanye was great because he had a great ear for the next step in hip hop production and has the bravado of a legendary cultural icon. Yeezus ranks right at the top for me when considering the production only, at the top as far as mic presence and delivery, and near the bottom lyrically, but who puts in a Kanye cd for the lyrics?
Nail on the head. Production always keeps you intrigued- there's never a moment where I lost interest. For me, what this album lacks in terms of lyrics and flows was made up for in terms of delivery and comedy. Like this nikka said, I'm not listening to a kanye album for metaphors and multis....only rap album I bought this year and I'm not even a massive kanye fan
