Phil also wants someone who can Handle the Media &be able to sell the person so it appeal to invigorate the fan base.

Phil knows the game, he has to find a way to sell the Coach to the fanbase ... along with a coach who shares his principles.

There is a reason Kurt Rambas isn't the Coach of NY Knicks right now and that's it.

Based on what? NY Media was skeptical. National media was skeptical. Fans were skeptical. Kerr has no relation or name value to New York fans. I'm not saying he would have been good or bad. But Phil was his validation, Phil got him in the club... he doesn't have the merits to get this job on his own.
Which is why I'm asking... who's next.
But we don't know this for a fact people are assuming that . And even if he is looking for a coach he can mold and guide that's better than hiring mark Jackson and he refuses to listen to
Any advice or help Phil provides , possibly turns the fans and players against Phil . Phil will take the heat if the Knicks are garbage so l have no problem with using that strategy to find a coach as it's the next best thing to Phil coaching

anyone else think phil baited golden state into hiring a dude who probably isn't cut out for the job, thus allowing the knicks to make a run at more credentialed hires without a more appealing destination one-upping them?

we can only go by what the media is telling me. every coach we hear is a phil jackson guy .if he didnt care what offense a coach ran, then wouldnt we hear about a whole new batch of coaches(karl, mark jackson, hollins). phil wont take any heat if the knicks are garbage. because new york is gonna want phil to step down and coach himself. its hard to coach when u have a dominanting figure like phil jackson. spolestra went thru the same thing in miami. fire spo. let riley coach. how many times did we hear that??

Fisher will leave the team 20 games into the season when they are 5-15 then for medical/personal family reasons.
Then he will pop up as an assistant coach on a contender by March.
