This is why I say anonymity is everything.
No one with real money and status wants to be on shows like this. Unless they are one of those ostentatious rich people, and it still isn’t a good look.

All of the franchises prior to Atlanta had real money, or the majority of the cast did. They were just also tacky, self absorbed or some combo of the two.

Also, these shows brought them a ton of money and opportunities. Bethenny Frankel alone became a huge businesswoman off her RHONY start.

Also speaking of OG NY, one of of them was a Countess or something. LuAnn iirc.

'Real Housewives of Potomac'Wendy Osefo & Husband Booked on Fraud Charges​

Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband Eddie have been booked on criminal fraud charges, TMZ has learned.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, "The Real Housewives of Potomac" star is facing 16 charges -- including 7 felonies, for allegedly making false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300. She's also facing one misdemeanor count of making a false statement to an officer.

Wendy Osefo has been on the show since Season 5 ... she's a college professor of education -- teaching at Johns Hopkins University -- and a journalist, contributing to The Hill and MSNBC.

Wendy has degrees from Temple University, Johns Hopkins, and a Ph.D. in public affairs and community development from Rutgers

Wendy was tight with Kamala Harris during the former VP's run for president last year ... the two are members of the same sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.

The news comes on the heels of 'RHOP' castmate Karen Huger's release from jail last month after serving 6 months of a 1-year sentence for back-to-back DUIs.

Them degrees don’t mean much, and ain’t nobody too good, a show themed around you, with a check, and countless Mf’s sending you clothes, and opportunities to get in on business deals and push your businesses. the problem is vanity and clout is a drug to most, especially women. Besides you think an aka ain’t gon miss an opportunity to be on camera

I remember she tried to have that fake serious moment with her kids, to “teach” them about what we face as a people, it was like aiiight girl

I don't watch any of these shows religiously. I occasionally watch with my girl but out of the shows I find the girls on Potomac the most annoying. So fake and phony pretending they got money when that's money they man earned. Kinda indicative of the DMV scene. A bunch of phony ass people fronting

Being that you haven't watched the shows. I'm not gonna say the majority, so I'll just say "Many".

Many of the women on the Housewives shows are wives or girlfriends of rich and famous men. Rarely are the women the ones with the money, hence "Housewives".

And usually what happens is, since they're housewives and not the breadwinners. Basically trophy wives.

Once they get on these shows, they get attention and their own money and usually dump the husbands.

Rinse and repeat for every show.
