I don't play Madden but I think 2k gameplay and mechanics wise changes every year. If you go into NBA 2k14 thinking you can play like you did in NBA 2k13 then you're in for a rude awakening. Thing is people bash sports games in general for not changing but its basketball at the end of the day...what changes are you looking for exactly?

I agree. I'm coming from PS3 2k13 to PS4 2k14 never having played 2k14 on ps3. shyt is hard but I can't stop playing it. I will say it is fun as hell playing with OKC and the Knicks on this game

If they address ANY of the multitude of bugs/glitches from the previous year, I'd be happy. Overall, I'm happy with my NBA 2k experience ... it's really just a lot of little shyt that compounds and makes playing annoying sometimes.

difference is 2k is actually great at simulating real life basketball while Madden is terrible at simulating real life football

2k gameplay and animations are all head and shoulders above Madden. Sure it hasn't changed much. But when your product is that good, there really isn't a need for radical change. Just refinement.

Madden on the other hand has been basura since it got that exclusivity deal. 2K destroyed Live the old fashioned way. Just make a better product. EA defeated 2K in football by buying the rights to make the game. That if the difference stupid.

I just want the game to look as close to real life as possible. The reason I don't criticize 2K as much as Madden is because they are alot closer at simulating real life basketball than Madden is to simulating real life football. I don't want a sports game to change each year for the sake of change. I want the game to get as life like as possible. And to me 2K14 was a strong step in that direction, while Madden looks just like last gen Madden with little to no improvement.
