I was watching this shyt last weekend, and I was a little more than 1/2 way thru and turned it off and went to bed. shyt was not holding my attention 
Agreed, I saw this shyt in theatres and I thought it was alright. Highly overrated movie IMO, It's a solid movie and everything but I don't see how it won best picture. Zero Dark Thirty on the other hand

I agree...The only tension I really felt in Argo was at the end when they were going through the airport....but you know what happened...

That airport seen wasn't even factual. I know movies take artistic liberties with actual events, but if there's too big a discrepancy between fact and fiction, that vexes me

No tension when they stormed the embassy?
No tension when the maid got hip to the "Canadian" guests?
No tension in the market for the "scouting" trip?

Nope...dumb ass American's in Iran...
Nope...didnt care about the characters..the only development was on Ben Afflect and you never really felt like he was in danger
Nah...they looked out of place...in other words they welcomed the attention...boring movie...that was overhyped
Then I think.."what was so special about the movie"
When I think of Best Picture..I think of shyt like "Schlinder's List" or "Forrest Gump", "Saving Private Ryan"....you actually gave a fukk about the characters in these movies
If you want to win oscars, make white people look good saving minorities or make Hollywood look good. Looks like affleck found the formula
