meh, I didn't want Okafor.. Ariza, I can live with because he is better than Singleton and Ariza is only 27 years old... he has a ring and has shown up in big time moments.

But Okafor gives us depth at C... Seraphin emerged in the 2nd half of the season and Nene can play PF more. Our front court is fine, we're gonna be good defensively.

Its the SG spot I'm worried about if there's no Beal or other shooter added between now and training camp

The good news is this trade doesn't prevent us from re-signing Wall and Seraphin two years from now.

The Wiz have been making some great moves lately. Not every team can get lucky and in the draft like OKC.. The are taking on salary to create a winning culture here for all of our young talent. We could easily went the same route as the Arenas lead team and have tons of young talent with no direction. Surely we might only make it to the 8th seed but we have tons of young depth to go with our yets.

Alot of teams are going to be acquiring about the young guys we have..We have Wall and will soon get Beal plus Nene and Okafor. Great azz squad for the east.

Tons of talent on the bench...Im loving this...

I dont like this trade because of Okafor, as well as how good Seraphin played after the trades happened last season, but the Wizards are trying to make the playoffs.

And what your totally ignoring (I think on purpose) is how the GREAT Eddie Grunsfeld has done it again.
Gets rid of Gil... then gets rid of Rashard (and doesn't have to waste the amnesty)
Picks up Okafor who is a very serviceable backup center.
Trevor Ariza is a great pickup for us as well. We lack players like him.
He's basically a futher along Chris Singleton. Trevor is the type of guy we can have attempt to guard Lebron/etc.
We lookin like a 1/2 seed right now if you ask me

It's insane the Wiz took on two bad contracts and couldn't get the Hornets to throw in the 10th pick in this deal. I could stomach getting another good young piece, but not just two role players who won't even be here in two years for the cap relief the Hornets got in Lewis.

yeah, if we had gotten #10 to take these contracts, I'd have been happy... we'd get two solid young pieces to come in and help right now on the wings

All I know is, Wall needs to become a star and QUICKLY. We talk about him potentially leaving but that kid needs to step up with a relatively better team... he now has big men who can actually set a screen
