Gaming wise, I would say get a nice PC. It's cheaper, modular, and easy/cheap to upgrade.

A slew of games for you to play via Steam, and in general, if you're a graphics whore, it'll feed your needs. Don't need to type up a paragraph, PC gaming sells itself.

Just skip the macbook and get an ultrabook. If you want to game, get a Nintendo Switch for portable gaming and parties and Xbox Scorpio for high end 4K gaming that rivals expensive PC gaming setups.

Why are nikkas so fukking bitter on here? If I want a Mac it's because my last one lasted me 8 years of top notch performance before it broke, it's a great laptop. I'm not taking a goddamn 15 inch laptop to a coffee shop to impress nobody. I don't want to be lectured by any of you. I simply asked what was so noticebly great about PC gaming that you can't just play on consoles. nikkas out here talking about hoes and coffee shops and shyt. Stop it.

If you don't want a Mac for anything more than aesthetics, take a look at the certified refurbished MBPs and you can usually save a grip on a current machine.

You will probably be able to scrape by and be able to get your MBP and build a decent machine if you use sites like Slickdeals and PCPartPicker and a little bit of patience.

If you're an experienced builder and are willing to branch out into the used part market (like Reddit's hardwareswap and hardforum) you'll even have change. There are some dudes who literally change computer parts like underwear and get rid of good parts for cheap.

If u got no experience building it from the ground up..its just a big headache.

Depends on what your idea of a headache is. 10 or so years ago, maybe. Compatibility was the hardest part and took a decent amount of research. Now that there are sites like PCPartPicker, it's almost idiot proof now. You plug in what you want, turn on the compatibility filter and build it out without ever having to leave the site or buy and do trial and error with your parts. Once you get the parts in hand, it's pretty much only one way to put almost every part.

I would preface that it's more work, but anybody who actually considers themself a power user or gamer would do good to learn how. You can save a lot of money over the long run and get much better performance for your money.

I would just get a used 13" macbook pro retina 2013-2016 that has all the ports and shyt for like $800-1000 AND build a beast gaming PC. Best of both worlds But if it were me I dont care bout gaming on a PC, so i'd cop a new 13" MBP for $1600 and keep gaming on the ps4

Yup. I got a late-2013 MBPr and I'm not upgrading this shyt until it's absolutely necessary. Nothing slow about it. Got all the ports I need. Superior magsafe port. No gimmicky touchbar
