I keep watching these trailers and videos of MGS V, and in the latest ones, this nikka has a big piece of scrapnel stuck in his head. WTF happened, and is that shyt in his head the entire game?

Basically, and kojima has this in so many words, Kojima does not give a fukk about continuity.

He takes each game as its own instance, for the most part, and goes wild, basically designing each game as if it will be the last one in the series.

Thats why damn near every thing in the series gets retconned.
