I can't be the only one who thinks this is just going to expose the fact that both KD and Westbrook have extremely low basketball IQ's...

Say what you want about Brooks but he was not the one who was deciding to fire up bricks with 19 seconds left on the clock down the stretch of tight games...

I can't imagine any big name coach taking this job...you got to win a championship the first year you coach the team or loose 2 of the top 10 players in the NBA...

The fact that they are trying to go after college coaches for a team built to win RIGHT NOW let's me know that this organization is even dumber than I thought...

They must have done this as a preemptive move to announce that they botched Serge surgery and he won't be back until march of next year...

:ehh:

He won 50 something games his last year there and did it with a banged up squad..... nikkas don't get passes for star\critical players being hurt I see

Factor in the fact that Curry\Klay or both a year older and better cause their starting their primes with the fact that Golden state is relatively healthy and poof, you got 65 wins.......

True. But look how GS is now compared to last year. They would still be a playoff team just off the strength of Curry/Thomp talent but that heavy iso ball would result in continuous early exits. So whats the point of replacing Brooks with an even equally bad offensively limited coach for a team whos title aspirations need to happen right now?

D'antoni gets shytted on a lot but hes still one of the best offensive minded coaches out there and isn't that what OKC needs? A guy with a system and who will draw up plays in close games instead of KD iso hero ball 30 ft heaves. Plus you got jump shooting big men there in Ibaka and we know how much he loves that. They could put up old school laker/tblazers nightly 130+ games, which would offset the obvious lack of defense

We've had a pretty good defense every year except this eason when we had a new lineup on the floor every other week.

ollie was on okc in 09-10:lupe:

Kevin Ollie can coach his ass off. One of the few very good-elite coaches there is. Just imagine him with the most talented NBA squad.

Not saying that he is a good replacement for that , what I was stressing that their were several mitigating factors(that Kerr has been fortunate to avoid) in his first round exit(albeit it went down to the wire) his last season, and most of it was not coaching style.

I just pointed out some things to explain why Kerr was able to win more regular season games...... but nah, Mark and a good fit for Durant and Russ

Scott Brooks doesn't suck as a coach. He is simply an average coach who is great at player development. He's limited and not a championship level coach but he's a valuable coach nonetheless.

Ollie is cool but he needs a few more years before he gets crowned as elite

KD and Russ play exactly like they did there rookie years...they take the same shots from the same places at the same rates...

The only player who's game changed is Serge...who morphed into a stretch four...

Talent wise...of course...that is generally what professional basketball players do...

But as far as expanding their game...uh...

Tell me...what shot has 26 year old Kevin Durant added to his arsenal that 23 year old Kevin Durant did not have...?

They were putting point guards on 23 year old Kevin Durant and it was giving him trouble...they put point guards on 26 year old Kevin Durant and...it gave him trouble...
