This thread gets made way to much, OKC will never win with punk ass Durant at the helm. Westbrook lost a step regardless of what you think, he's not as explosive as before, still fast tho. And they're 3rd best player is ibaka :bryan: let's just stop there.

I don't see what is so outrageous about that statement. Wade his been hurt and inconsistent for the majority of their time together and he's only getting older. Conversely Durant and Westbrook haven't even entered thier primes yet :banderas:.
durant and westbrook have been a distant 2nd. wade even in his washed up state was still dropping 20+ a game and has still had big playoff games. come on now.

We aren't talking about the past or even right now though. Based on how they have played and how they continue to get better and Wade's decline it's not crazy to say that Durant and Russ can surpass Bron and Wade as a duo. Now if we are talking 06 or 08 Wade playing with Bron for 5 years+ then it's a different story. But we are talking about "go damn near the entire playoffs wihtout scoring 20 and can't play back to backs" Wade.

only down side to OKC is that its basically 2 nyggas. Its a long season man. They arent shyt really without 1 of the 2. Playoffs be so long and brutal man. I just dont know if they can go the whole season and stay sharp.

there's more to a team than players. and with that being said, the franchise has improved drastically over a few short years. we're on the up and up and i believe that we're gonna make it happen this year.

It's pretty cool how they have a Marlo/Bodie backcourt though

If they could convince Ibaka to play with his back to the basket and start dominating in the post I would agree. But as we've seen Durant and Westbrook as the only scoring options will take them far but will not get them over the hump.

in the regular season it is easy to get by on just westbrook and durant...

not so much in the playoffs when a team gets to gameplan for you a minimum of 4 straight games

i won't believe in this team until they get a third scorer they can consistently go to in clutch playoffs moments

i don't think any combination of jacksan / lamb / ibaka is going to be good enough to be that third scorer

I expect jeremy lamb to just fold in half the first time he takes a hard foul in the paint...dude is all of maybe 170 pounds...when the game slows down to a crawl like most playoff games do he is going to get murdered in the paint

lol.. no, you missing what Im saying. If one of those two go down, its a wrap. You know it and I know it.

Just hope both stay healthy. The year they went to the finals they had a nygga who could take the pressure of either one at any given time. That was Harden.

pretty much and with Perkins being a liability on offense will Brooks bench him in the playoffs if say, Dwight Howard, Bogut, Tim Duncan or Splitter are playing Free Safety and clogging the lane up?

Ya but a healthy Westbrook allows role players like Ibaka, Jackson, Stevens, Lamb to get open looks. The defense is so focused on stopping his penetration that it leaves them wide open. If they make there shots OKC is up there with Miami.
