As long as you have that nikka controlling the rock and running the offense you gonna keep taking L's. He's s 6"3 shooting guard. He has no concept of getting his team involved, which is the sole job of a point :heh: Brick after brick after brick.....he should've been hitting Adams, Serge and Durant all night.

He was the primary ball handler on the #2 ranked offense in the league.

Last season, without Durant, he had the OKC offense performing at a top 5 rate when on the floor.

He gets his team involved, wasn't he top 3 in the league in assist this season?

But I do think he need to play the 2 at times so getting a nice PG would definitely help

Nah. OKC just needs a better bench. Can't afford to have no-defense playing, offensively inept scrubs like Singler, Morrow, etc, filling out the majority of your bench. They were essentially running a 7 man rotation the entire series, which also forced KD and/or Sabo to be on court at pretty much all times. The team completely lacks depth and if KD and Sabo can't jumpstart the offense the role players have 0 rhythm.

That's why I think Cleveland is gonna pose a far larger threat. They run a 2nd unit with LeBron that's damn near as dangerous as their starting 5.

Doesn't get the team involved? How many APG did Russ average for this series?

He took some ill advised shots especially later in the game, he made some bad decisions, and no he's not a pure PG but he def gets his teammates involved.

I've been riding for Russ for a while now, but it seems as if that dude ain't ever gonna learn how to play in the clutch or in crucial possessions. He lost his damn mind at the end of game 6 and pretty much the entire game 7. Thunder ain't going to win as currently constructed unless he falls back and empowers KD to be the "guy" like Wade did for Lebron. And I don't think Russ will do that.

The pg position has turned into a team collective.

Look at G State, they form like Voltron, and turn into one giant pg that can shoot. They anticipate, move the ball, and play discipline.Like a hive mind, in unison.PG qualities.

The problem with OKC is that they're not really a team collective. They have 2 dominant, top 5 players, and they beat you on iso's.When they form like Voltron, they turn into a chucking ass SG on offense

Stat hogs.

they definitely need a legit back up point guard at the least. someone who can settle down an offense and run a decent play down the stretch

OKC needs their own iguodala

He needs to stop recklessly throwing himself at the rim expecting fouls.

He chucks up 3s like he's a good 3 point shooter.
