i think about that some times, its crazy to think that a whole teams plane could just go down :wow:

i think it only happened once, it was some soccer team in the 70s or some shyt

It's happened a couple of times over the years. Manchester United in 1958, Marshall University in 1970 and last year to Brazilian football team Chapecoense. Scary shyt, glad OKC's plane landed safely.

Not to mention that Uruguayan rugby team that crashed into the Andes and had to live in the snow at 12,000 feet for ten weeks before finally hiking out like 50 miles over the Andes Mountains to find help.

Only 1/3 of the team survived the crash and the freezing and the avalanches and starvation that followed...and those who survived only did it by eating the bodies of their dead teammates.

:sadcam:

@RealAssanova @BonafideDefacto

They have more insight than anyone else here :yeshrug:

this tends to be due to 1 of 2 reasons:

1. flying in terrible weather (ie. hailstorms)
2. birdstrike

judging by the damage, i reckon the plane hit a rather large bird on final approach.
