So one bird can cause that or does it take a small group flock of them?

A large one like a marabou stork or something else that size like a vulture. For a spot like that or anywhere else that's vulnerable like the window or control surface hinges it can cause an issue. You have to think about the speeds you are doing and hitting something at those speeds is the same force at that thing thrown at you at those high speeds. It causes a bigger force.

The one incident I had we were in the Mara and this bird just floated out of nowhere and over us. Bad thing was it clipped the top of the rudder and bent it way back so out lateral movement ( yawing) was messed up. Good thing we were on final approach so were going straight in anyway.

I wasn't on controls and I spotted it and pointed it out. Was really my captains fault but i didn't snitch and he was low key trying to act like it was cause of my inexperience at the time. Yet I pointed it out and he didn't dodge it well enough and he had been pmsing the whole flight. I flew the plane the whole way and then he takes over on the approach only to do that

:hhh: Granted it was hard to dodge them all cause it was a flock. But usually the pilot and the birds are good at avoiding each other

How does a bird do that to aluminium alloy, metal and steel(materials planes are made out of). Even factoring in the force, I would imagine only a hard/strong object should be able to do that to a metal. Can anyone with better knowledge of physics explain this shyt to me or I'm I tripping.

You are doing ridiculous speeds. The power on some of these aircrafts are amazing. Like when you trying to go slow on landing on the Boeing you are doing around 200 mph while your eyes are constantly scanning, brain recalling and processing. Hands working and getting the feel for what's going on. After that when you get in a car shyt just seems slow
