The fact that the Thunder are successful in spite of Brook's coaching is why he hasn't been fired yet. OKC has never underachieved badly so that masks the coaching problem. OKC needs an underwhelming season to make management rethink their coaching options, but by the time that happens it will be too late and KD and Sabo will be past their primes.
