I’m not surprised. I mean truly if you look at all these MAGA people they more than likely used to actually have sane beliefs. Power and needing to be in that group changes things I guess.

I'm not sure if it's social media, self-interest, Obama triggered them somehow or what, but I know several white guys that seemed fairly normal back in college (this would be mid-late 2000s for me :flabbynsick: ) and have become right-wing MAGA crazies since then.

Had a few people on FB list that I haven't seen in like 15 years making some extremely :scust: posts around election season

he wasn’t like that in his younger days. Wasn’t even remotely overt with his beliefs . That’s all I’ll say.

Yeeeeeeeeea so that’s the thing.

They’re usually “cool” when everyone’s young.

When it’s time to get serious/adulthood, they flip. It’s like the white girls who sleep with everyone during undergrad and then act like virgins at 24 like they didn’t sleep with half the school.

Most of them eventually turn into their parents/elders. That’s why this shyt NEVER ENDS. They all switch up at some point.

Josh Hawley was my law school professor. The way he is now is nothing like how he was as a professor. They all play the game to move up in politics.

That doesn’t disprove my point.

If they’re willing to do this to climb the ladder, it is still in them.

Y’all do realize that the same way we code switch on the job/around white ppl, they do the same thing?

Like, there are racist ass Klan cacs who are our teachers, bosses, police officers, etc who smile in our faces during the day and go to their secret white-only meetings, family gatherings, etc.

When he was your professor he was doing his JOB. That doesn’t tell you anything about his moral compass or how he feels about Black ppl.

White kids I went to school with were calling us nikkas WITH some of the damn teachers at my school :scust:

Y’all be giving cacs too much credit.

School systems in the U.S. are indoctrination camps. One way or the other.

You can't just leave your kids to be indoctrinated without preparing them to think.
Calling all schools "indoctrination camps" ignores the difference between education and state-sponsored misinformation. Oklahoma is forcing teachers to present a baseless conspiracy theory as if it's something worth debating. They're using the school system to push a discredited political agenda. If you really care about preparing kids to think critically, then pushing lies as part of the curriculum should worry you more than vague claims about "indoctrination camps."

This isn't a both-sides issue. And it's time for people to stop it with that bullshyt. Do you want education based on facts, or propaganda passed off as truth?

You don't understand the depth of indoctrination being deployed in these schools. Every school is trying to indoctrinated.

It's up to the individual to decipher the lies.
At schooling age, people are too young to know the level of deceit they are being exposed to. It usually takes them getting deep into adulthood to finally realize.

By that time they are locked into their lifestyle and don't want to change.
