now because it's not what it was back then. It's competing with tons of other things, and it's never gonna win the battles vs. all the NFL games on diff nights or basketball.

games are over 3 hours long so the average casual fan isn't going to sit through it and that's where you get the ratings from. i love baseball but i'll admit that 1 game can take up half of your day sometimes and there's a lot of shyt i rather do than spend half of my day watching any sports, unless it's a chill day like sunday then i'll have no problem with that.

people today want to see players be outside the norm of the game like a bonds or ricky henderson who use to be smooth when he hit the ball or run the bases.

Baseball needs work but they are like the last sport now behind nfl, nba and even hockey especially hockey playoffs
