This country no longer cares about baseball. America is all about football and the $$$ shows it.

Also baseball is killed by the fact that star hitters for example only get 4-5 at bats per game to show off their skills. Viewers like to watch superstars frequently
4-5 at bats is plenty to see for a superstar. You want a superstar to come up to bat once an inning-every inning no matter what:what:

-I just hate that superstars are getting suspended for performance enhancing drugs, the old 'baseball morals and codes hidden guidebook", and how the MLB doesn't promote its young stars enough

what you're not understanding is that with your stupid ass idea...is that pitchers could extend the game for far longer with a pitch clock....24 seconds in between pitches is a very slow pace.ridiculously slow.

here is a few things you don't take into account.....cause you didn't realize how stupid your idea was.
1. foul balls
2. base stealing
3. checking baserunners
4. players actually putting the ball in play, and getting on base
5. time outs/substitutions

it's not fukking basketball, instituting a pitch clock won't make the game faster or more exciting..

you want baseball to be more exciting to casual fans, move the plate farther back...make the ball larger, draw the outfields in, and give batters thicker bats.

then you'll have an "exciting" game.

Breh, the 24 second pitch clock is an idea. If you think that's too long, make it 15 or 10. If you like the amoeba like pace of baseball, then it's useless to have this discussion with you.

Obviously you have all the other variables of the game that makes it longer, but to also have pitchers and batters who do their rituals between every pitch makes it even longer. Stay in the batters box. Every single one of these guys step out and adjust their gloves, helmets, take a few cuts, take a stroll, and all other shyt. Pitchers do their quirky shyt too.

At least Verlander and Scherzer can go at a decent pace. If every pitcher were going at their pace then the game would be better.

My wife gets free Braves tickets through her job. Really good seats behind home plate. Went to one game with her last summer. It was 97 degrees......the game was 3 and a half hours. Just sitting there, baking in the sun, white people around me smelling like fried bologna, waiting for something to happen, and just being disgusted by rednecks spitting out tobacco and Dominicans scratch their nuts (no homo) for 3 hours in the heat?

She asked me if i wanted to go again this summer. :comeon:

Baseball is 2nd in revenue but don't let facts kill your make believe narrative.

Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true! --Homer Simpson

Baseball doing great regionally, WS rating increased nationally, and Baseball revenue increased again this year....but the game is dying.

most pitchers are already pitching at 12-15 second intervals.... you'd just be adding a visible clock to something they've already been doing.

Baseball is baseball, it's naturally a slow game... them pitching faster, doesn't exactly mean the game is gonna go by faster or be more exciting either.

 @ you expecting baseball games to be on some late 2000's PHX suns run n gun shyt.

I'm sure they are not tripping, they don't even worry about losing fans in certain markets because they can't compete. They probaly know its better to cater your sport to people who are loyal to the sport and not to people who will only watch because of a new sensation or just because their local team is winning.:manny:
