My brother and I ddidn't ask for much. But every so often we'd ask our parents for a video game and they had no problem getting it for us. When Christmas came though :wow: they hooked us up. Got us both gameboys so we wouldn't fight, our own games for the snes and such.

My parents did so much for us :salute:

Just like i do with my daughters... got their own 3ds', separate games.. meaning 95% of the time I buying the same game twice... especially those expensive mario games

yup, it's the only way to keep a quite home. You make kids share and it is a constant of snitching around the clock :wow:

Getting a system on Christmas and not getting the adapter :sadcam:

No stores open until the next day :sadcam:

Thats when you take the VCR out your parents room and run the video game system through the VCR then to the tv. Ill be damn if Sony was gonna keep me from playing Tekken that Christmas.

Still didnt have a memory card though.

As a parent who used to ask his parents for games and my mom would get other shyt.. I learned to just give what the kid asks for.. it makes life so much easier..

Decided to buy some PS2 games for my nephew some years back as he was always playing this crappy Dragon Ball fighting game. He was around 10 years old at the time. Since I've been a gamer for so long I decided to get him the cream of the crop at the time. Bought him Virtua Fighter 4 for PS2 plus Psychonaughts to show him what good games were and what a proper fighter was. Dude probabaly never played Virtua Fighter more than once after he took it out of teh box. He kept on playing that Dragon Ball game. So yeah. I also learned to just give kids what games they want.

I introduce my kids to stuff via trailers ... or if i like it i'll play it... eventually if it catches their attention they'll mess with it..

my 14 yr daughter is strarting to play the Arkham night series... and everytime my PSN shows me playing SF4 or MArvel Capcom... it aint me, its them

Anyone else call up the local mom n pop video game rental store about 5 times a week with

"What new games y'all got?" :feedme:

Funcoland was a beast with how low they sold games for.
