It seems NBA fans transferred their hate to Curry, poking any hole in his game they can find.

We all know the Lebron hate.

Kobe Bryant.

Were you old school guys poking holes in Jordan's game and criticizing every thing he did? Or did you respect what you were seeing? What about other players during that era...or was Michael Jordan the only thing that mattered?

i was a baby when Mike was doing his thing but even I know that nobody in the history of anything is universally touted as the one when they're in the middle of making history...its love at first, then the naysayers come, especially from the prior generation...Michael had a rep as a cocky ballhog that you couldnt win a chip with...when the bulls were going 72-10, the oldheads blamed it on the watered down league..this shyt is cyclical

NY was slick with him but he was too big for it all. Mike Tyson was about as LOVED as it got in American sports before Jordan though.

If Jordan played in today's age of news media/popperazzi & social media he would not be revered at all. All his faults would be on the front b page, and let's bebhonest, Jordan was one faulted person. It seemed the Chicago media protected him where in today's age, drams sells and no one is off limits

MJ had many haters. Hell Some would say that Malone/Stockton, Barkley all got their MVPs beause voters didnt want to keep giving it to Jordan.

And it was like that among fans too. My older sister was one of the most venomous Michael Jordan fans you'd come across and she wasnt alone.

Holajuwon and Duncan are as close as i would say ive seen to universally respected by both writers and fans. MJ was respected, yes, but also hatedjust as much as LeBron is.

Jordan wasn't universally respected until he got them rings, he didn't get lebron levels of hate but people use to say he couldn't win championships that's why he cried when he won the 1st and was adamantly throwing up 6 when he won his last

He was always compared to bird & magics success
