Boyz to men first album was better than jodeci first album first off

But Boyz to Men marketing with motown and mike bivins was way better than puffy and uptown marketing at the time

Both groups was great, however jodeci fukked up by trying to change they church boy image to more street level which hurt them in the long run

B2M's debut leaned into the movie Cooley High which the generation back then was very familiar with. It's So hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday was the theme of that movie which really launched them. They also sang acapella (and could actually really sing) giving them a young Temptations vibe which appealed to older audiences
