One original fat dudes to come out of Brooklyn. Like a lot of the early-mid 70's babies, I grew up listening to these dudes. They were really the first group to out beatboxing out there in the mainstream and really a lot of hip-hops core principles to the forefront. I hear they are working on some new stuff well Markie Dee and Kool Rock Ski (RIP Buff Love), but it's not the same.

my alarm clock is:

STICK'EM

I awake almost every morning to it.

kool rock ski still was one of the best.

plus had one of the best actual rap names ever, as well.

This is true as well, unfortunately we are surrounded by children and neophytes who don't study up on their history as well as the influences to the current greats in the game. But If one man appreciates this epic group like I do whose influence in the game can be seen far and wide than I'm happy I made this thread.

The Fat Boys were my first favorite rappers, as a kid.

Buff's beatbox was second to NONE! Real ones know.

I would have been too little to know and i haven't checked for their music like that.

I did watch their movie though, I thought it was hilarious when I was younger. I do remember Chris Rock said that bar in Boomerang that Jay bit about 'damn, now the fat boys break up'.

Oddly enough Jay has bitten a lot of Chris Rock bars that's why Chris Rock says Jay is the greatest rapper of all time and its not even close. Yeah right.

'grand opening, grand closing'.
