Honestly I don’t think they want to resign him

Colbert deserves the spot

I think Lynch knows the woman involved with Foster isnt going to talk so hes putting out the bold stance

Giving up on Trent would be silly, hes shown he has a real future as a long term starter

Based on Colbert's play last year, i'd agree... but i'm cautious because he is still a 2nd year guy.

I agree with what you said about Lynch taking that stance. Its easier to make that statement if you believe there won't be proof.

I guess with Brown, its a matter of how much he can improve in the run game, vs. how much do you value his pass protection. I think he's a damn good tackle and would hate to have to fill that spot soon.

The Yay
feels like we're almost obligated to get one of the LBs given the Foster situation

Lynch also said team is open to get Reid back if we need safeties after the draft

The problem with not resigning brown is that you’ll need two new tackles in two years. You gotta expensive qb, don’t go cheap and get him hurt

We need that LB no matter what happens with Foster

As i stated in an earlier post, when it comes to basic reliability, Foster is by far the least reliable member of this team

Even if he is innocent here does anyone feel hes trouble free now, and does anyone feel great about his durability

Go get Roquan

We need a Leo. Roquan is undersized and struggles to get off blocks. Trade back grabbed landry and grab a guard. Lb can be got in the third

I just feel like the trade back isnt gonna be there , of course i hope it is but its looking more and more like it might not be there..so if a pick at 9 is to be made please let it be Edmunds over Smith

I'm beginning to think that we may trade back at number 9 because Roquan and even Fitzpatrick may be gone at #9.

I really dislike the idea of not signing Trent Brown after this season. He is the best pass blocker on the team and even if he is not a great run blocker I don't think it matters as much, in fact, I think his skillset is better suited for left tackle in our offense. Also next year is not going to have any good tackles enter free agency. You don't let 25 year old starting tackles walk.

I don’t mind trade backs when we have a top 5 pick and can get a second still in the top 20 or top 4 pics in round 2 or maybe 3.

But having that top 9 and trading back to get a couple of A- or B level players when we get that one elite top 10 guy?

I don’t feel comfortable with that.

I rather stack up on guys we feel can be elite vs depth type guys

There is no Leo in the draft the niners can get that’s worth in the first. they can only hope they find one later in the draft

You can put together tape of any lb not getting off blocks, does it really matter when defenses are in their nickel over 60 percent of the time now?

If this year's draft was more loaded. I might agree but I don't know if the gap between the top 15 players in this draft and the other 85 players available is all that great and despite being on the upswing we still have holes on both sides of the ball that need to be filled and we have used valuable capital the past couple of years on the defensive side of the ball especially. We need these guys (Armstead Thomas and Ward especially) to step up.
