Dude is a better run blocker than pass blocker but hes is still solid in pass pro. Clearly the front office doesn't think all that highly of Trent Brown. He can fill in next year ar right tackle and he has the skillset to take over once Staley retires. It's not the sexiest pick but it's low risk high reward.

You know what...... I would’ve be so sure..... we clearly have know idea what this front office is thinking in general. Best we wait till draft is done

I think i see what the front office is thinking. They're going to pick high character guys with relatively high floors. Tackle was an area of need and while he wasn't the BPA he was the best player at a position of need in the near future.

Even with the weight issues Brown is worth a 2nd round pick or an early 3rd rounder at worst.

We may trade him but i dont think we will. Bro had the perfect opportunity to get paid. Shows up overweight again. Which has always been his problem. shyt sucks cuz I like Trent but I think he loses his job in camp and is eventually traded or regulated to swing tackle
