Imagine if we had Sherm and Reid as leaders on the field?

Now I don’t know what to make of that one year offer deal. But if we really want to have our team portrayed as a team of good men with strong leadership.

We gotta stop playing and resign him to a multi year deal.

Foster?

Let’s let this play out and see what happens. If we just cut him outright the only thing that’s gonna happen is the Seahawks pick him up and he flies straight for the rest of his career with no issues and he’s a terror we’d have to face 2 times a year.

Then in 4-6 years we gonna look back at why didn’t we keep him.

Martha
Clearly you prioritize the Seahawks over abused women

Its only a fukking game, let him go to Seattle

Nothing in this guys history says hes gonna fly straight either, there is a reason he dropped to 31

Reuben Foster is going to have to go. I know it stings because of his talent level and what we have invested in him but at the same time its not this was an argument that went too far. But based on the details he severly beat her and injured her badly and then tried to intimidate her into not calling the police. We gotts stop condoning bad behavior just because a guy can run fast or hit hard. Also another team is not going to touch him with a 10 foot pole this is toxic.

Good to see someone else prioritize humanity over 10 tackles a game

Dude didnt just accidently smack her in a moment of rage, be beat her down and tried to prevent her from calling police

Its just a fukking game, we can another person to tackle people well, we cant continue to support domestic violence

Excuses

Lions dont write poetry, make 5 star meals, create social service agencies, do charity for less fortunate lions

You want low expectations to excuse poor behavior
:what:
At the core we're the same. We act the same and have the same traits. A lion can't swim like a beta fish but both of them are territorial.
You picking up what I'm putting down or is it still over your head?

Your putting down excuses for a man bursting a woman's ear drum
innocent until proven guilty. And even if he is guilty I'm not for abandoning him. Are you for throwing away and giving up on anyone who has ever made a mistake or 1 bad choice in life?

You can't preach that you care about people but be quick to get rid of them.

A mistake was the weed arrest

Punching a woman 8-10 times and owning illegal assault weaponry isnt a mistake

Coli logic, always absolve the athlete

I work in the mental health field

So yes, ive been around many DV situations

Ive never met a man who was a eomam abuser who went for counseling that stopped hitting their partner

What do you do for a living?

So because you have never seen it, it never happens. Good to know, i highly doubt you are a therapist or a social worker seeing this is your outlook. Let's not get him therapy so he can recognize his triggers, manage anger, and develop healthy coping strategies to prevent future occurrences. Our maybe therapy can help understand his childhood experiences and other situations that contributed to his violent behavior but screw all that he doesn't need any help once a woman abuser always a woman abuser, no changing that lock him up and throw away the key, right. You've never seen, so it is not possible. Jesus, you really are a self righteous piece of shyt. I work at a political think tank in the research department but my girl works for the county in the mental health field and has her MSW and is getting her hours done towards becoming a LCSW.

Hey genius, hitting anyone is a mistake. He bought the gun legally in Alabama where own that particular gun is legal for purchase and ownership. He brought it to California where it is illegal. Most people don't know much about individual states gun laws and they change dramatically based on that states politics. So yes, it is a mistake, from my understanding he wasn't pointing the gun at her or anyone else. She told the police he had a gun and they searched the premises and found it simple as that. Just like the weed arrest in Alabama, in California the police wouldn't of even batted an eye. Different states different laws, this happens fairly often when people move around. Once again, no one is absolving his actions most people, including me want him held accountable but tossing him in the trash heap like you white folks love to do when a black man causes you problems is part of this society's problem. You use us and the moment we show any difficulties you don't approach us with any sense of empathy or understanding, no instead its he is a monster, animal, and a thug.

Again, you are talking about humanity while discussing the need to throw someone away like a broken toy and no discussion about getting this individual help but have the audacity say you are prioritizing humanity, while at the same time saying we can get another person who can tackle. Showing how little you care about this individuals if they bother your entertainment. No one is supporting domestic violence stop saying that, is disingenuous as hell and you know it. I am tempted to neg you but looking at your rep it wouldn't make much of a difference

I dont have empathy for men who abuse women

I got 3 daughters and the more excuses we make for men like this the more we continue to support the behavior

Maybe he can change, that doesn't mean his employer has to tolerate this behavior

People need to see the consequences their actions have, by not being held accountable there is no lesson to learn

If 49ers cut him hell certainly get an opportunity elsewhere especially if he gets his life together, truth is it may help him notice how his actions are having a significant negative effect on his life

Take off your black vs white glasses, this is a human problem we all have

So being charged with felony domestic violence isn't being shown the consequences of their actions? Being arraigned in court and having everyone calling for your head is not being shown that your actions have consequences? Also, stop acting like you care about lessons learning because this entire convo you have just wanted him cut with no regard of what happens to the man afterwards. Again, stop acting like you are the only one that cares about domestic violence survivors. Black vs White glasses huh, definitely negging you for that but it is easy to say that when you don't have to deal with a society that treats you different based on your skin color. So take that colorblind bullshyt some where else.

I care about putting an end to DV

I know the lesson sent by keeping Foster here only teaches people that DV is okay as long as youre a beast linebacker

If youre an average corner or a fullback its zero tolerance though
