I think the Oline is solid enough for Guwop to operate. Offensively we have weapons as long as we stay healthy but it has potential to be really really good. Defensively I think were slightly better than last year but if Buck and Solly turns those pressures into sacks we definitely contend immediately. Big if tho
I don't think we contend this year. Our schedule is loaded and our defense is young and up and coming. I want to see how the weapons on offense work though but our secondary will be shaky as hell per usual. The first 4-6 games are going to say a lot about Jimmy G though. Vikes/Lions/chiefs/chargers/cards/packers is pretty tough to start the season if we split those games I'll be happy

It's crazy how unlucky we've been with the schedules. Even when we were at our shyttiest, we still ended up with a tough calendar.
You never know in the NFL, games that look very hard in July-August end up looking easy in hindsight (because injuries fukked a team over or they just imploded during the season), but still.

Ok, I'm sorry..... I just dont think many of those teams are really "that scary" or that good
I mean only 3 teams we play last year made playoffs in Chiefs, Vikings and Rams. Chiefs now about to start practically a year one QB that has less experience than Jimmy G and I cant crown Cousins yet. Also hard to gauge those Rams games as we played fairly well against them and split. I mean I know they may say "well we rested our starters" but by that time of the year most of the guys that would start for us werent playing either and JG was basically playing with backups and when the starters did play them earlier in the year with a shytty QB.... we took them to the wire and lost by 2
I'm just not sure how much better everyone else has got and mind you with what we had last year we lost 5 games by VERY small margins.... playing VERY COMPETITIVE with a scrub at QB. One less mistake or 2 and we'd easily been 11-5.
But I just feel SHawks, Cards, Broncos, and Bucs will be worst this year.
I dont trust Giants and Bears to be anything to fear.
Raiders, Lions and Chargers just seem kinda iffy to me.
Green Bay "may" be a problem.... strong emphasis on May.
The only good player we really lost in my opinion is Hyde, Reid, maybe Dum...... but Tart and Colbert really shined so they may be more than enough to make up for that loss.
I think we got some solid dudes to make up for Dum.
I think we may be worse at RB, but to counter that Jimmy G is better than both Hoyer and Beathard combined so thats a MAJOR upgrade that may hide that loss not to mention a true offseason to get better familiar with the gameplans.
I dont know brehs, I think we go 4-2 in the division sweeping the Cards.
At worst 10-6 at best 11-5

locke looked a bit better than pinion in preseason, but I guess they wanted to see clear cut dominance
I can't deal with Pinion's inconsistency another year, specially if at some point of the season we are fighting for a playoff spot :ninercry:
