Bob Cousy is just too far removed from the modern game.

Only PG's that are comparable to whats out now are from the 80s and 90s.

a dude from the 50s and 60s isn't even getting on a G-League roster...

Nah, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson was around in the 60s and so was Kareem. They can hoop in any era.

bob cousy is 93 the whole he played against plumbers and firefighters um yeah back in the 50s and 60s all professional athletes had second jobs

Because of this obscurity, salaries were so minuscule that the majority of the top players were forced to secure offseason jobs. Cousy ran a driving school and a summer basketball camp. Satch Sanders, the Hall of Fame forward, worked at a sporting goods store and, later, in a real estate office. Lenny Wilkens landed a marketing job.

And then there was Rick Barry, the All-Star MVP in 1967.

“I sold season tickets for the Warriors to make a few extra dollars,” Barry told me.

But that has nothing to do with his on the court criticism. My only beef is this comparison to CP3 when he had neither the athleticism or skill. I mean athleticism is the #1 thing that makes me think an athlete can or can't compete in today's era. Bill Russell could run the floor and jump out the building out 6'9.
