Don't trade the pick. Just pick the best player available. This draft is too much of a crap shoot to give up assets. Keep everything for next year. Build our guys up in the G League and see if we can get something on draft day to move up.
Just saw a mock that had him falling to #9 with the Knicks taking Vassell over him. I still expect this front office to trade up, but in the event they bytch up and don't:
Edwards
Ball
Wiseman
Toppin
Deni
Hayes
All likely locked in ar top 6, which means there's a high likelihood of Haliburton falling to 8 given the eventual drops and rising of other players. Given the CAA connection, I wouldn't be surprised if he's the pick, trading up or not and and unless Ball is absolutely#1 on their list, I'm okay with a guaranteed point guard prospect at 8 and keeping the 2nd pick for additional shooting (Bey? Bane?) later in the draft, since that's a glaring need.
Haven't watched anything on dude but mocks say he can shoot and play D but isn't much off the dribble and can't really be relied upon to be a primary ball handler (

) but that may not be a bad thing with RJ in the fold to to operate as a playmaker as well. Have RJ, Haliburton and Frank on the floor to manage the ball handling (

) duties by committee, or make your move for CP3 or Van Vleet for him to at least start off playing off ball if you don't trust Frank in that spot.
That, or let these player developers earn their check.
