With all the goofy players and media members partying on us last night, i hope Leon Rose turns this into a pseudo-Yankees evil empire where we start just overpaying for every teams favorite assistant, trainer or medical staff person.

De’Aaron Fox hating on us is laughable.

You play in Sacramento.

The team hasn’t been shyt since 2002 all they can do is cry about an old ass playoff series being rigged. One of the few franchises that has been worse than us for the last 20 years with none of our history or lore. I believe they have the longest active playoff drought.

Fox isn’t good enough to turn that franchise around himself and it looks like they gonna be out the playoffs and mediocre for years to come idiots passed on Doncic.

I am looking at those Celtic picks too. They literally have too many picks and I could see them trading one or two for that top 10 protected 2023 Mavs pick. We shouldn’t touch next years Mavs pick either because that draft is too deep to give a pick away.

I doubt either sides does it, specifically Boston since they're pick hoarders, but I wonder if they'd trade 14, 26 and maybe even 30 for 8 alone or with a future pick.

If there really is that much parity in the draft, having 4 first rounders to fill in holes on this team in preparation for letting Payton, Taj, Portis and Bullock walk would be crazy.

Kira, Bey, Nesmith, Bane, Achiuwa, Jalen Smith, Stanley are all at play in those spots and we could take care of our shooting issues immediately without relying on free agency.

A nice thought, no way it happens though.

I totally missed that they've got three picks in the first round. I doubt the Mavs pick gets their 14th pick but that's right in the range where I think there are gonna be a lot of nice value picks (the parity in this draft is wild).

Normally I would say no way but we got cap space too to help teams out. I do think the knicks need to try and capitalize on those assets but don’t get caught up trying to move up from 8 but move up from 27.

You guys think this could be a draft where trading up actually won’t be so costly because a team like Golden State would just not want to use that much salary? They’re not only trading number 2 anymore, they’re trading number 2 and potentially shedding 5 million in salary.

Bro, honestly, I get a different vibe from this group than previous regimes. I can't remember a time I've watched any of our guys looks visibly angry during the lottery. Not a fake smile and shrugging it off, not a "damn" like, just missed it. But a look like we're gonna put the call in to break kneecaps.

Between the front office moves and that's I have a lot of confidence that we're not going to just sit and take the bullshyt the league has been giving us.

The math on this shyt really doesn't make sense and needs to be looked into. Go back 30 years and the ONLY team to have multiple #1 overalls in a decade is the Magic( and that's suspect because between them and Charlotte, they went #1 3 straights years as recent expansion teams).

In the last 10 years alone - Cleveland (3 in 4 fukking years), New Orleans, Minnesota and Philadelphia (back to back) have all gotten multiple #1s. Odds don't make sense I don't give a fukk what the records have been.

That's not mentioning the teams that went top 3 like the Lakers and Celtics, multiple times in that same range when they were bad or were picking for bad teams, but us consistently falling out when we were just as bad.

Something is off with this and dude knows it. Bet money he doesn't sit with this shyt like all our other GMs have.

I’m really uncertain on GS as a whole. I do think we could see first round picks sold or packaged with bad contracts where possible though. So I think this is a draft to look at moving around but I’m not sure I’d push extra assets out the door at any point; I’d continue the asset acquisition (for those who are sick of rebuilding, these assets are trade chips down the line too).

Cap uncertainty is interesting. I wonder if teams will be cheaper than expected and some FA’s might dangle loose for unexpected prices. It’s only a thought and not something I’d count on but I think it’s possible.

Every mock I’ve checked so far has Kira at 20 to the Heat. It’s my worst nightmare but also...We probably could find a team 10-20 that’d part with their pick for some other type of compensation (cap relief mainly). If we could use 8 on a wing (Nesmith, Vassell or Okoro if he slips) and STILL get Kira, I will be absolutely ecstatic. Sign a stretch 4 and some vets that compliment our youth (instead of competing with them and taking their time away)... and then just see what happens.

that’s a recipe to head into the better free agency of 2021 with more clarity about our youth, more assets and still the cap space to make a run at a player or two.

Edit: but quick disclaimer...no way is Kira 20th on big boards. Super young but has two years of college experience and has virtually every tool you want in a modern nba PG (speedy, fast reads, good passer and not afraid to shoot off the dribble).

What are the Knicks gonna trade up for. After the 1st spot, the rest are up in the air as far as talent especially on point guards. You have the potential of either a mediocre or a Steph Curry 39th pick. Just use your intuition and try out 4-5 guys that compliment RJ at 8. That's not too hard.
