Literaly watched a video that said the opposite. That if he doesn’t go 1 he can easily fall past 6.

He really does seem like the clear cut number 1 to me. The playmaking and ball handling are legitimately special. There are enough question marks where character concerns could sink that I guess, but Edwards and Wiseman aren't sure things either.

A bit surprised at Pelton having Haliburton so high. I feel like he's a really safe pick but not with the upside of other guys.

I've seen a couple of interesting rumors around...one is that multiple teams after us are high on Okongwu which creates potential for trade down scenarios and leverage. The other is that Phx is looking to trade up past us to grab a PG. That could shake up the draft selections a bit.

I think this is a good question. The main answer would be that the scout types are all saying that anywhere between 6-10 players in next years draft would have a case for the top pick this year.

Listened to Lowe Post podcast with Zach Lowe and Givony/Schmitz from DraftExpress/ESPN

Real tidbits from the pod:

• Bulls likes Lauri more than Wendell. Lauri is more untouchable in trades. They like LaMelo. It will take #4 and WCJ to move up to #1. Lowe thinks this new front office will likely stay pat.
• Most execs think LaMelo is a no-brainer at #1
• No one wants to put a 2021 1st rounder in trades. 8 guys in the mix for top 3 next year.
• Warriors values their pick from Wolves next year more than #2 this year.
• Lowe has spoken to execs who compare Anthony Edwards to Dion Waiters.
• Schmitz: LaMelo will have trouble in half-court and to get his shot off. Anthony Edwards will be able to score from anywhere.
• Givony: Questions about Anthony Edwards's lack of motor, skills and competitiveness. Questions about Edwards turning down opportunities from USA Basketball, EYBL, etc. Questions about his conditioning at a pro day that was created for him. Doesn't think Edwards will reach his potential.
