Barrett is a second year player who will be starting alongside Hayward and can grow into the role hes projected to turn into. If this was Westbrook I could understand you thinking hes going to stand in a corner, but it's not.

Next year's draft is gon be loaded, Hayward or Russ don't make y'all contenders. Give RJ plenty of touches to cook, while y'all in the running for Jalen and Cade.

from everything I read in the off season, it seemed like the Knicks were starting to focus on building around RJ and making him the man of the team
Why else draft the kid at 3 if he is not going to be the cornerstone of your franchise?
How good will we know he will be if he is constantly regulated to the secondary/tertiary/4th option role while watching inept players who think they're stars running the show?

RJ number 1 attribute IMO is he plays his game no matter who’s on the court with him. It’s one of the reason you saw him excel in AAU as a high schooler, even look at the Rookie Game. I love that he has that “I’m the best on the court” swag about him. Gordon Hayward of all ppl is not stunting RJ potential.

Surrounding him with Good players with High basketball I.Q. will better his game. Gordon Hayward fits that to a T.

Hayward can still ball and he'd be a good fit on the team. He's a low usage player who's efficient and can facilitate at a pretty high level. his ability to stay healthy worries me more than what he can do on the court.

Again, Hayward’s best season in Utah when he made the all star team, he scored 22 points a game on 16 fg attempts. He doesn’t want to come and take 30 shots a night like Harden. He just doesn’t want to sit in the corner behind Tatum, Kemba and Jaylen Brown.

Does one and done rule change actually go into effect in 2023? I can't seem to find anything that says when it actually goes into effect but if they've loaded up like this and the rules don't go into effect until that year, this shyt is WILD smart.

I think Us and the Spurs were the only teams that didn’t have their picks leak out minutes before they were selected. At one point Woj and Shams were already announced picks 7 while they were still on pick 4 and they didn’t announce our pick until like 30 seconds before it was announced.
