It’s clear a lot of these GM’s aren’t real basketball heads they’re guys with stats, finance/business, contract law, sports management degrees or guys who may have played and they mostly make moves off impulse and desperation and signings are heavily based off nepotism and relationships (example Perrin and Burks, Perry and Payton). A lot of these people are old men who are out of touch. Players are overpaid and overvalued based off things like name, reputation, and player designations/archetypes (3&D, rim runner)
Jrue Holiday isn’t worth 3 picks and 2 pick swaps along with solid players like Hill and Bledsoe, RoCo isn’t worth 2 picks, Bertans isn’t worth $80M, Hayward is good but was
never a $30M a year player especially not now after these injuries, the Pistons are signing bigs for no apparent reason.
